Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for the fishing trips? Can kids join?

A: Yes, kids can definitely join! As long as they’re accompanied by an adult, there’s no strict age limit. Just make sure they’re comfortable with the idea of fishing and being outdoors for a few hours. The guides are super accommodating and good with kids, so it should be a fun experience for the whole family.

Q: What should I wear for a day of fishing in Fairbanks?

A: Wear layers! The weather can change pretty quickly in Alaska. I'd recommend waterproof shoes and pants, and a breathable long-sleeve shirt to keep the bugs away. A light jacket is also a great idea, especially if you’re going in the early morning or late evening.

Q: What if the weather is bad? Do they cancel the trip?

A: They'll usually only cancel if conditions are unsafe. If it’s just light rain or wind, they might go ahead and adjust the trip accordingly. You’ll get a heads-up from the guides the day before if they think there's a chance of cancellation. It’s always good to have a backup plan just in case!

Thinking About Booking the 1/2 Day Fishing Trip in Fairbanks!

Hey all! I'm considering booking the half-day fishing trip in Fairbanks. Has anyone done this? I read that they provide all the gear, which is awesome. I’m just curious about the actual fishing spots they take you to and if it’s really beginner-friendly. Any tips or experiences would be super helpful!

Just Got Back from the Fairbanks Fishing Trip—It was Epic!

I did the half-day fishing trip last week, and it was amazing! The guide picked us up right from our hotel. We fished in this gorgeous state park and caught a few rainbow trout. They supplied all the gear, and the snacks were actually pretty good. If you’re on the fence about this, just go for it! Great for both experienced and newbie anglers.
