Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for this horseback ride at Horseshoe Bend?

A: Yes, there is an age limit. Kids need to be at least 8 years old to participate in this ride. If your child is under that age, they might not be able to ride solo. It's great for families though, just make sure to check the specific requirements when you book.

Q: What should we wear for the horseback ride?

A: I'd recommend wearing long pants and closed-toe shoes. Your best bet is to go with boots if you have them, since they give better grip in the stirrups. A hat and sunscreen are also great ideas, especially since you’ll be out in the sun for a bit. It's fun, but you'll want to be comfortable!

Q: How's the parking situation near the trail head?

A: Parking is pretty straightforward! There's a designated lot near the meeting spot. It can get a bit busy during peak tourist season, so try to arrive a bit early to snag a good spot, especially if you're going in a group. Just follow the signs once you get close to Horseshoe Bend.

Just booked the Horseshoe Bend trail ride—so excited!

I’m taking my family on this 1-hour trail ride with Navajo guides. We’ll be going next month, and I can’t wait to see the views of Horseshoe Bend! I heard the guides are super knowledgeable about the area. Plus, it’s a great way to introduce my kids to riding. Any tips for making the most of it?

Just did the Horseshoe Bend ride—what an experience!

I just got back from the 1-hour ride, and wow, it was amazing! The horses were well-trained, and the views were breathtaking. The guide told us stories about the land and people, which made it even more special. I wore my hiking boots and felt super comfortable. I’d highly recommend this for anyone looking for a unique gift idea!
