Hawaii looks even better from horseback, so hop on and join us for an adventure you’ll always remember. Led by a friendly guide, you’ll travel through pastures and mountain trails, seeing the gorgeous sights of Oahu’s North Shore along the way, with its clear, blue water, offshore islands, and white sandy beaches. You also get a sneak peek into the Hidden Cave, featured on “Hawaii 5-0”. You’ll ride to the top of our lookout point and feel proud of yourself for getting there like a real paniolo (Hawaiian cowboy). We look forward to you being a part of our Ohana for a day here at Gunstock Ranch.

Q: Is there a weight limit for the horseback riding experience?

A: Yes, there is a weight limit of around 250 lbs per rider to ensure everyone's safety and comfort. It’s a pretty standard policy for horseback riding experiences, especially in more rugged terrains like the North Shore. If you’re close to that limit, I’d recommend calling ahead and checking with the ranch just to be safe.

Q: What do you recommend wearing for this experience?

A: Comfortable clothing is key! I’d suggest wearing long pants and closed-toe shoes for sure. The ranch provides helmets, but you might want to bring sunscreen and a hat since you’ll be out in the sun a lot. If it’s been rainy, though, waterproof shoes could be a good idea too!

Q: Can this experience be rescheduled if the weather is bad?

A: Yes, the ranch is usually super flexible with rescheduling due to weather. They’ll inform you if the ride needs to be canceled and offer you alternative dates. It's best to call them directly for the quickest response if you're concerned about rain or storms.

I’m super excited! I found this 1 Hour Scenic Horseback Ride at Gunstock Ranch and I think it would be an amazing gift for my sister’s birthday. She loves horses and I heard the views of Oahu’s North Shore are stunning from up there. Plus, I love that they’ll take you to the Hidden Cave from Hawaii 5-0! Has anyone tried this? Did you think it was worth it?

Just did the scenic horseback ride - WOW!

I just got back from the 1 Hour Scenic Horseback Ride at Gunstock Ranch, and wow, what an experience! The scenery was unreal, especially at the lookout point. Our guide was awesome and made sure we all felt comfortable. Definitely bring a camera! Worth every penny if you're in Oahu. I can’t recommend it enough!
