Q&A

Q: Are there age limits for kids on the walking tours?

A: There's no strict age limit, but I'd say it's best for kids over 10 who can keep up and appreciate the history. The guide does a great job of engaging everyone, but younger kids might get restless during the longer parts. Just make sure they’re comfortable walking around for a bit!

Q: What should we wear for the walking tour?

A: I'd recommend wearing comfortable shoes since you’ll be walking quite a bit! Layers are also a good idea – Boston weather can change quickly. If it’s sunny, bring a hat and sunscreen. But if it’s chilly, be ready for it! Just dress for the weather.

Q: What happens if the weather is bad?

A: If the weather doesn't cooperate, they’ll usually reschedule you or offer a full refund. Just check their policy when you book. Boston can be unpredictable, so staying flexible is key. I've had to change plans before!

Just did the 1 If By Land Walking Tour in Boston – what an experience!

Hey all! I just got back from the walking tour with Ira Tabor, and it was incredible! He took us all around Boston, showing historical photos at each spot. It really brought the city’s history to life! We walked through Beacon Hill and saw some stunning architecture. I’d say it’s perfect for history buffs or anyone who loves walking. I’m thinking of gifting this to my parents for their anniversary!

Thinking about booking the 1 If By Land Walking Tour as a gift

So, I’m considering this walking tour as a gift for my boyfriend who loves history. Has anyone done it? I want to make sure it’s engaging and not just a boring stroll. Also, how’s the parking situation around Boston? Any tips would be appreciated!
