This is a premier experience in the Marco Island area and is superb for the entire family... from toddlers to the grandparents. It is a personalized eco-adventure. Every day is different in the Everglades and 10,000 Islands so we try to be very flexible and dynamic. The tour may/will include a bit of birding, some photography, strolling thru tidal pools, shelling on a remote beach, exploration of one of the 10,000 Islands and a visit to the very tip of Southwest Florida - Cape Romano! The first part of the experience is a guided boating eco tour in search of the areas rich wildlife. The second part is an interpretive, guided walk on a remote barrier island to explore the island's beaches, tidal pools and inter-tidal zones. Absolutely the best shell collection opportunities in Florida! Note: June through October, we suggest the morning experiences due to the weather.

Q: Can anyone tell me if there are age limits for kids on this dolphins and shelling tour?

A: The 10,000 Islands Boat Excursion is great for all ages! Toddlers can join, and it’s designed to be family-friendly. Just keep in mind that younger kids might need some extra supervision, especially when shelling on the remote beach. They do provide life jackets for little ones. Overall, it's a fun experience for the whole family!

Q: What should I wear for the boat excursion? Is it all outdoors?

A: Definitely wear comfortable clothes, like shorts and a breathable shirt since it's mostly outdoors. A hat and sunglasses are a must, too! If you plan to shell on the beach, sandals or water shoes work best. And don't forget sunscreen! It can get pretty sunny out there.

Q: What happens if the weather's bad? Can we reschedule?

A: They’re pretty flexible with rescheduling due to weather. If it’s unsafe, they’ll notify you and you can choose another date that works for you. Just make sure to check your email before heading out, since they send updates about conditions.
