Q&A

Q: What's the age limit for this birding tour? Can kids join?

A: There's no strict age limit, but I'd say it's best suited for kids 12 and up. They’ll enjoy the adventure and the photography aspect! Just make sure they’re able to keep up with the hiking and have some patience for birdwatching. It can be a long day!

Q: Can you reschedule if something comes up last minute?

A: Yes, Mirlo Tours is pretty flexible with rescheduling as long as you give them enough notice. Just reach out to them via email or call ahead of time. Their customer service is really helpful!

Q: What do we need to wear for this tour? Any special gear?

A: Definitely wear comfortable clothes and sturdy walking shoes! Layers are key since it can get chilly in the mountains and warm in the Amazon. A hat and sunglasses are also smart for sun protection. Don't forget your camera gear!

Thinking of gifting the 10-day Birding Photo Tour in Ecuador? Need some advice!

I’m looking to gift this to my husband who’s really into photography and nature. Has anyone done this tour with Mirlo Tours? I’m a bit worried about the logistics since it’s a long trip, but it sounds like an incredible experience! How's the food and accommodation? Any tips for first-timers?

Did the Birding Tour from Andes to Amazon last month - here's my review!

Just got back from the 10-day tour and WOW, it was even better than I expected! The guides were fantastic, super knowledgeable about the birds and the landscapes. Plus, the accommodations were decent, and we had some amazing meals! There’s a bit of everything, from mountains to the rainforest. I took so many great photos! Highly recommend if you're into nature and photography.
