Q&A
A: There’s no strict age limit, and kids are definitely welcome! We’ve had families with younger children on board who enjoyed the sights. Just keep in mind that the tour lasts a while, so it’s best to bring snacks and maybe some games to keep them entertained. The guides are great with kids, though!
A: Layering is key! The coastal weather can change quickly. I suggest wearing a light jacket or sweater, as it can get chilly along the coast, especially in the morning. Also, comfy shoes are a must if you're walking around Monterey and Carmel. Have fun!
A: The meeting point is pretty accessible with public transport, but if you do drive, there's paid parking nearby. Just make sure to arrive a bit early to find a spot. It can get busy on weekends, especially in summer. You’ll want to enjoy the views before boarding!

Just did the 17-Mile Drive tour, and wow!
I just got back from the 17-Mile Drive tour, and it was absolutely stunning! The ocean views are breathtaking, especially at Bird Rock. We spent a solid two hours in Monterey, and I just had to try the clam chowder at Cannery Row – so worth it! Plus, our guide shared some really cool history about the area. If you’re thinking of gifting this experience, do it! It’s a perfect day trip from SF.
Thinking about this as a gift, any thoughts?
I’m considering getting the 17-Mile Drive tour for my parents’ anniversary. They love coastal drives and I think they’d appreciate the small group size. Anyone have tips on what to expect or how to surprise them with it?
