Q&A
A: Definitely wear something that you don’t mind getting wet! A swimsuit or quick-dry clothes are perfect. The wetsuits they provide keep you warm, but it’s good to have layers underneath. Also, don’t forget water shoes or sandals that can stay on your feet! Trust me, you’ll want them for the swimming holes!
A: Yes! Kids as young as 6 can go on this trip, but they should be comfortable in the water. There are some fun splashes and rapids (class I-III), so it's a good idea for them to have some paddling experience or at least be open to adventure! Just check with the provider for specific age requirements before booking.
A: Yes, you can reschedule if the weather is really bad! They usually check conditions before the trip and will work with you to find another date. Just make sure to call them as soon as you can. Also, they’ve got a great cancellation policy if things don’t pan out!

Just booked the Yellowstone River rafting trip for my family!
I’m so excited! We’re going on the 18-mile rafting adventure in Gardiner next month. I heard the Yankee Jim Canyon section is the best part, and I can’t wait to see the beautiful scenery! We’re bringing our kids (ages 8 and 11) too, so I hope they enjoy the splashes. Any last-minute tips?
Amazing experience on the Yellowstone River!
I did the 18-mile trip last week, and it was epic! The guides were super chill, and lunch from the local cafe was delicious. I loved the class III rapids—definitely got my adrenaline going! Be prepared to get wet, and bring some sunscreen. If you can, do it on a sunny day for the best views.
