Q&A
A: Yes, kids are welcome on the catamaran sail! The experience is designed for guests of all ages, so it’s a great outing for families. Just keep in mind that younger kids might need some supervision on the boat, especially if they’re moving around or near the edge. Also, take into account their comfort level with sailing and being on the water.
A: It's a good idea to dress in layers! It can get a bit breezy on the water, especially during the sunset sail. I'd suggest a light jacket or sweater just in case. Also, don’t forget your sunscreen and a hat – even if it feels cool, the sun can be strong! Comfortable shoes are a must, too.
A: Parking can be tricky in La Jolla, especially during peak hours. There are some paid lots nearby, but they can fill up quickly. I recommend arriving early to secure a spot or checking out street parking if you're lucky. Also, consider carpooling or rideshares if you're bringing a group. Just plan ahead!

Amazing sunset catamaran sail in La Jolla!
Just got back from the sunset catamaran sail with Fun Cat Sailing and wow, it was fantastic! The view of the sun setting over the ocean was breathtaking. They provided blankets and drinks which made it even better. We spotted dolphins too! Highly recommend this for a romantic date or even a fun outing with friends. Just be sure to dress warm for when the sun goes down!
Considering gifting the catamaran sail experience!
I'm thinking about getting the catamaran sail experience for my partner's birthday. He loves being on the water! Has anyone done this? What’s your favorite time to go, and any tips on making it special?
