Q&A
A: Yes, the Tongass Trolley tour is great for families! There's no strict age limit, but younger kids should be accompanied by an adult. It’s a fun way for them to learn about the local history and keep an eye out for wildlife. Just keep in mind that the tour is about 2.5 hours, so make sure your kids are okay with being on the trolley for that long!
A: Definitely dress in layers! September can be chilly in Ketchikan, especially near the water. I'd recommend wearing a light jacket and comfortable shoes since you’ll be getting on and off the trolley. A hat and sunglasses wouldn't hurt either, just in case the sun comes out!
A: Parking is pretty straightforward! There's designated parking for the tour right where you start. It's included in the price, so no worries there. Just arrive a bit early to find a good spot and enjoy the views while you wait!

Thinking of gifting the Tongass Trolley tour - any experiences?
Hey everyone! I'm considering getting the Tongass Trolley tour for my parents who are visiting Ketchikan soon. They love history and nature. Is it worth it? I read there’s a chance to see wildlife, and the totem poles look amazing. Just want to know if it’s as good as it sounds!
Just got back from the Tongass Trolley - loved it!
Just finished the 2.5-hour tour and wow! The drive to Saxman Native Village was beautiful, and seeing the totem poles up close was a highlight. Rainbow Falls was stunning! We even spotted a couple of eagles! Highly recommend it for anyone visiting Ketchikan. Can’t wait to go back!
