This whale watching tour is 2.5 hours long with a maximum of 6 guests. Our small groups make every seat a front row seat as you enjoy whale watching and educational talks from our marine naturalist onboard. Our vessels are safe, travel quickly to find whales and a fun ride for the whole family. See Humpback Whales that have traveled 3000 miles from Alaska to give birth and mate in the protected Maui Nui sanctuary off Lahaina where the waters are known for being warm and calm. On our whale watches we could travel anywhere from 2 to 10 miles from Lahaina, often encountering dolphins in addition to humpback whales. Guarantee whale sightings Dec-April, or go again for FREE! We are locally owned and operated since 1982 and every ticket supports our participation in marine research projects and our role as certified first responders to whale entanglements. We are unable to take guests who are Pregnant.

Q&A

Q: What happens if we don’t see any whales on the tour? Can we really go again for free?

A: Yes, if you don't see any whales during your tour, you can go again for free! Just make sure to keep your ticket as proof when you book your next trip. It's a great guarantee and definitely makes the experience feel more secure. Just be aware that the free trip must be taken during the same whale watching season (December to April).

Q: Is there an age limit for kids? Thinking of taking my 8-year-old.

A: There’s no specific age limit for kids, but they do recommend that children be at least 5 years old for safety reasons. Also, it's a great educational experience, so your 8-year-old would probably love it! Just be sure to bring a light jacket, as it can get a bit breezy out on the water.

Q: What should we wear for the whale tour? Any tips for first-timers?

A: Definitely wear comfortable clothes and bring a light jacket or sweater, as it can be cooler on the water. Non-slip shoes are a good idea because the boat can get slippery. Also, don't forget reef-safe sunscreen! They provide it, but it’s nice to have your own too, especially if you’re planning to snorkel afterward.

So Excited for My Upcoming Whale Watching Tour in Maui!

I just booked the 2.5 Hour Whale Escape Tour for next week! I can’t believe I finally decided to go for it. I’ve wanted to see humpback whales since I was a kid and I’m taking my partner too. We’ll be staying in Lahaina, so it’s super convenient. I love that the tour is small, only 6 guests, and we’re guaranteed to see whales or go again for free! Anyone have tips on what to expect?

Just Finished the Whale Escape Tour - What an Amazing Experience!

Wow, just got back from the tour and it was absolutely incredible! We saw multiple humpback whales breaching, and even a pod of dolphins! The naturalist on board was so informative, which made the experience even better. I was a bit worried about motion sickness, but it wasn't too rough at all. Highly recommend this for anyone looking to do something special in Maui!
