Owned/operated by husband and wife, we immediately reduce the "Creepy Captain and Crew" factor making for a relaxed and comfortable experience for all guests. Our vessel looks like new due to rigorous daily maintenance. You'll feel a sense of pride sailing aboard our vessel as we depart Salty Sam's Marina heading for the Gulf of Mexico. We will pass the shrimp boat fleet and beautiful homes on the way to the Gulf. Once out of the marked channel, we raise our sails and shut the motor off. Wildlife such as dolphins, sea turtles, and various birds can appear at anytime. If the wind allows, we will sail towards the Sanibel lighthouse or along the shores of Fort Myers Beach. A: There’s no strict age limit, but kids should be able to sit still and follow safety instructions. They’ll love watching for dolphins! Just be sure to bring life jackets for younger ones if they’re under 12. The crew is very accommodating.

Q: What happens if the weather doesn't cooperate?

A: If the weather’s bad, they usually cancel or reschedule the sail for safety. You can easily call or check their website to rebook for another day. They’re pretty flexible about it!

Q: Is there parking at the marina? And what's the restroom situation on the boat?

A: Yes, there’s free parking at Salty Sam's Marina. Super convenient! As for restrooms, there's one on board, so you're covered during the trip. Just be mindful of the queue when the boat gets busy!

I’m considering this sailboat tour on Orion's Child for my mom’s birthday. I heard they pass by the shrimp boats and maybe see dolphins. Sounds amazing! I want to make sure it’s a relaxing experience for her. Any tips on what to wear or if it can get windy out there? Also, how does the sunset sail compare to the daytime one?

I just got back from the sailboat tour, and it was absolutely incredible! We saw dolphins and the sunset was breathtaking. The crew was super nice and made everything so comfortable. If you’re looking for a unique gift experience, this is it! It feels so private, even with other guests aboard. Definitely worth it!
