Q&A

Q: What should I wear for the rainforest walk? Is it muddy?

A: Definitely wear sturdy shoes! The trail can get muddy, especially after rain. I'd recommend waterproof boots if you have them. Dress in layers too, it can be chilly in the forest but warms up a bit as you walk. A light jacket and breathable clothing are a good bet.

Q: Is this tour suitable for kids? What's the age limit?

A: The tour is generally family-friendly! Kids over 5 can join, but younger ones might find the walk too challenging. It's a great way for kids to learn about nature and culture. Just keep an eye on them during the walk since some areas are a bit uneven.

Q: What happens if it rains? Do they cancel?

A: They usually don't cancel for rain! The rainforest is kind of supposed to be wet, right? They’ll provide ponchos if it’s drizzling, but if it’s really bad, they might reschedule. Just check with them 24 hours before your tour to be sure.

Thinking of gifting the Alaska Rainforest Walk & Totem Park tour!

I’m looking for a unique gift for my sister who loves nature. This 2-hour tour in Ketchikan sounds amazing! The whole small group vibe is appealing too. Can anyone share their experiences? What did you think of the waterfall? Was the guide friendly?

Just did the rainforest walk tour, and wow!

I did the Alaska Rainforest Walk with Wild Wolf Tours last weekend and it was incredible! The trees are gigantic and the waterfall was breathtaking. Plus, learning about the totem poles was so fascinating! The hardy cookie they gave us was a nice touch too. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Ketchikan!
