Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on this dolphin watching tour?

A: Yes, there is an age recommendation for the tour. Kids must be at least 5 years old to participate. This is mainly for safety reasons as the snorkeling can be a bit challenging for younger ones. But if you've got a little one who's comfortable in the water, they'll have a blast!

Q: What’s the best time of year to do this tour? Are there any weather cancellations I should worry about?

A: The best time is usually from May to September when the weather is calmer and the visibility is great for snorkeling. However, tours can be canceled due to high winds or rough seas, especially in winter months. Always check the weather a couple of days before your tour!

Q: What should I wear and bring for the snorkeling part?

A: Definitely bring a swimsuit and a towel! A rash guard is a good idea too if you're sensitive to the sun. The crew provides snorkeling gear, but you might want to bring your own mask if you have one that fits well. Don't forget sunscreen and maybe a hat!

Thinking of gifting the dolphin watching/snorkeling tour in Hawaii!

Hey folks! I'm really considering giving this dolphin watching and snorkeling experience as a gift for my partner's birthday. We've always wanted to explore the ocean around the Big Island, and I love that it includes the two reef spots! Does anyone have tips on making the most of it or any advice?

Just went on the dolphin watching and snorkeling tour—what a blast!

I just got back from the 2-hour dolphin watching and reef snorkeling tour with Hawaii Marine Life Charters, and I can't recommend it enough! The crew was super friendly and knowledgeable, and we saw a pod of dolphins swimming alongside the boat. Snorkeling in those crystal-clear waters was unreal! Can't wait to do it again.
