We are a surf school based on Venice Beach. Our goal is for you to have an excellent experience surfing, whether it's your first time trying surfing or you are trying to advance your skills. For the first 30-40 minutes we will be training on the beach - then it’s one hour with the instructors in the ocean. The remaining time is yours to practice your skills and have fun with the surfboards that we provide you. We’ll be giving lessons on Venice Beach - one of the most famous beaches in California. You’ll be able to not only enjoy the ocean and get surfing experience, but also explore the unique spirit of the eccentric cultural hub of Venice Beach.

A: Yeah, they do offer rescheduling options if the weather doesn't cooperate! If the conditions are unsafe, they'll inform you and help you pick another day that works for you. Just make sure to check their cancellation policy when you book — it's pretty straightforward.

A: There isn't a strict age limit, but they recommend kids be at least 8 years old for safety and comprehension. They’ll need to be comfortable in the water and able to follow instructions. Definitely a fun family activity!

Q: What should I wear to the surf lesson?

A: Definitely wear a swimsuit underneath since you'll be in the ocean! They provide wetsuits, but you might feel more comfortable with your own suit under it. Sunscreen is a must too, even if it’s cloudy. You might wanna bring a towel and change of clothes for after.

So I finally did the group surf lesson at Venice Beach! It was such a blast. The beach training was super helpful and the instructors were really supportive. I was surprised at how much we got to practice in the ocean! Just a heads up, the wetsuits can be a bit tight, but you get used to it. Highly recommend!
