Q&A

Q: Are there any age limits for the kayak rental? Can kids go too?

A: No age limits! Kids can definitely join since they have children's kayaks available. Just make sure the little ones are comfortable in the water and can wear the life jackets provided. It's a great way to introduce them to kayaking while enjoying the coastal views.

Q: What should we wear for kayaking? Is it safe if the weather's not perfect?

A: Wear quick-drying clothes and definitely bring sunscreen! If the weather looks sketchy, I'd check with Miss Chris Fishing Center; they usually let you know if they need to reschedule for safety reasons. It’s best to call ahead if you think the weather might affect your plans.

Q: Is parking easy to find near the kayak rental place?

A: Parking is pretty straightforward! There’s a parking lot right at Miss Chris Fishing Center, but it can fill up quickly during weekends. I recommend getting there early, especially if you're going on a sunny weekend. Otherwise, street parking is also available but might require a bit of walking.

Thinking of gifting the Kayak Rental in Cape May!

I really want to gift my sister a 2-hour kayak rental for her birthday. She's super adventurous and loves nature, so I think this would be perfect! Has anyone done this before? How's the experience? Also, what time of year is best to go?

Kayaking in Cape May - Can I bring my own gear?

I'm considering taking my family kayaking in Cape May but was wondering if it's okay to bring our own paddles or life jackets. We have some cool gear! Would that be allowed or should we use what they provide?
