Q&A
A: There’s no strict age limit, but it's best for kids over 5 since they’ll appreciate the experience more. The crew is awesome at interacting with kids and explaining everything about the whales, so it's really family-friendly! Just keep in mind that younger ones might need some extra supervision on board.
A: Definitely dress in layers! It can be warm in Waikiki, but once you’re out on the water, it can get chilly, especially if the wind picks up. A light jacket or hoodie works great. Also, don’t forget sunglasses and sunscreen—you’ll be out in the sun for a couple of hours!
A: If the weather’s bad, they typically reschedule or issue a full refund if they cancel the trip. It’s always a good idea to check the weather a day or two before your trip. Just remember to look for their policy when booking online—it's pretty clear and helpful!

Just went on the Oahu Whale Watch—what a blast!
I just got back from the 2-hour whale watch tour from Ala Wai Harbor and OMG, it was amazing! The crew was super knowledgeable and we saw a bunch of Humpbacks breaching! The boat was comfortable and they even let us bring our own snacks, which was a nice touch. I recommend bringing a light jacket, though—it gets chilly out there! If you're considering this as a gift, I say go for it; it's perfect for nature lovers!
Thinking of gifting the whale watch experience—thoughts?
Hey everyone! I’m considering getting the whale watch tour for my parents’ anniversary. They love the ocean and I think it would be a fun adventure! I read somewhere that it’s walking distance from Waikiki, which is a bonus. Has anyone done this? Any tips for making it special?
