Q&A
A: I'd say late spring to early fall is the sweet spot! The weather's usually warm and the water is super clear, perfect for enjoying the views of Vikingsholm and Fannette Island. Just keep an eye on local weather forecasts, as conditions can change quickly. Also, summer can get busy, so if you can go in early June or late September, that’s ideal!
A: There’s no specific age limit, but it’s a good idea to check with Boat Tahoe directly to see if they have any recommendations. I've taken my kids, and they loved it! Just make sure they know to wear life jackets, which are provided. It’s a fun and safe experience for families!
A: Definitely dress in layers! Mornings can be chilly on the water, but it warms up quickly. I’d recommend a light jacket and some comfy shoes. Also, don't forget your swimwear if you plan to jump in the water; it’s gorgeous! Sunglasses and a hat are a must too.

Just booked the Emerald Bay boat tour for my anniversary!
I’m super excited because the Emerald Bay tour looks amazing! We love Lake Tahoe, and I can't wait to see Vikingsholm up close. I heard the views from Rubicon Point are out of this world. I booked it for next month and hoping the weather holds up. Has anyone done this? Any tips?
Tips for the 2 Hour Private Emerald Bay Boat Tour!
Just got back from the Emerald Bay boat tour, and wow! It was such a cool experience. We saw Fannette Island and the views were breathtaking. Bring snacks and drinks; they provide water, but we took a little cooler too. Also, make sure to ask the captain about local history. It’s fascinating!
