Thinking of gifting a private surf lesson in Lahaina!

I’m considering getting a 2-hour private surf lesson for my partner's birthday. We’ll be in Maui next month, and I’ve heard great things about Keep It Simple Hawaii Surf School. I love that they provide all the gear like rash guards and water shoes. Has anyone done this yet? What was your experience like? Would it be good for someone with no surfing experience?
