Sail Tahoe Blue is the premier sailing charter in South Lake Tahoe. We offer a unique sailing adventure and include complementary local beer and wine, as well as non-alcoholic beverages on all of our daily cruises. Unlike other tour boats which take 50+ passengers, our sailing yacht, "Blue", limits our capacity to 18 passengers. If you care to enjoy the beauty of propulsion by Mother Nature without the sound and smell of an engine, come sail with us! Sail Tahoe Blue cruises focus on sailing and sharing the beauty of Lake Tahoe, we do not offer guided tours. Please note that we will be sailing and that the sailboat is powered by the wind, so our route is wind dependent. We do not sail to Emerald Bay on our public charters, as it is too far of a distance to sail in two hours. Ages 5 and up only.

Q&A

Q: What's the age limit for kids? Can I bring my 6-year-old?

A: Yes, you can bring your 6-year-old! The age limit is 5 and up, so they should be good to go. Just make sure they're okay with being on a boat and can listen to instructions. Also, don't forget sunscreen if it's sunny!

Q: Can I reschedule if the weather's bad?

A: Yes, you can reschedule if weather conditions are not safe for sailing. They'll usually reach out to notify you and help find a new date. Just keep an eye on the forecast as your date approaches!

Q: What’s the parking situation like near the marina?

A: There’s a parking lot right by the marina, and it’s pretty convenient. It can fill up fast during peak season, though, so try to arrive at least 30 minutes early. Also, bring some cash in case the machines are acting up!

Excited for my sailing cruise on Lake Tahoe!

I just booked the 2-hour sailing cruise on Lake Tahoe with Sail Tahoe Blue, and I can't wait! I heard they provide complimentary beer and wine, which is a nice bonus. It’ll be my first time sailing, so I'm a bit nervous but super excited. Has anyone else done this? What should I wear? I want to be comfortable!

Sailing out on Tahoe was EPIC!

I just got back from the sailing cruise on Lake Tahoe and it was amazing! The boat was just the right size, not too crowded. We had a fantastic time sipping local beer while soaking up the gorgeous views. I was worried about motion sickness, but it was smooth sailing! Would totally recommend this for a fun day out.
