Turn sushi night into a skill-building culinary experience in the heart of NYC. In this interactive class, Chef Davis breaks down the essentials of sushi-making step by step. Begin by mastering seasoned sushi rice, the foundation of every great roll. Then practice precise knife work as you prepare fresh produce for balanced texture and presentation. You’ll assemble a California roll with avocado, surimi and cucumber before crafting a bright veggie roll with mango, avocado and cucumber. Chef Davis demonstrates proper rolling pressure, shaping and slicing so each piece holds together beautifully. By the end of class, you’ll sit down to enjoy your handmade sushi feast — confident, capable and ready to recreate these classic rolls at home.

Q&A

Q: Is there a weight limit for the sushi ingredients or any specific dietary restrictions I should know about before booking?

A: There aren't any specific weight limits for the ingredients, but it's best to check with Chef Davis about any dietary restrictions beforehand. They can accommodate most allergies or preferences if you let them know in advance. Just shoot them a message after booking!

Q: Can you reschedule if something comes up last minute?

A: Yes, you can reschedule your class if you give them at least 48 hours notice. If it's less than that, you might lose your ticket, so try to plan ahead just in case! It’s super helpful if you have a backup date in mind when you contact them.

Q: What should I wear to the class? Is it messy?

A: It’s a hands-on class, so you might get a little messy. Definitely wear something casual that you don’t mind getting food on. An apron is a good idea if you have one, but they usually provide some too.

Just took the sushi making class in Brooklyn! Here’s my review!

I just got back from the sushi making class with Chef Davis and it was AMAZING! He taught us everything from making the perfect sushi rice to rolling our California rolls. The atmosphere at the brewery was super chill and fun. I went with my partner, and we had such a blast! The best part was actually getting to eat our own creations at the end. Totally worth the price!

Thinking of gifting the sushi class to my foodie friend!

Has anyone done this sushi class? I’m contemplating getting it as a birthday gift for my bestie. She loves sushi but has never made it herself. Is it a good experience for beginners? Also, how’s the vibe at the location?
