You will be surrounded by beautiful lush surroundings along the riverbank, and will also be able to paddle along the bay as well, passing over coral reefs and enjoying the view of the coastline from the water. We are the original stand up paddle school on Oahu's North Shore, making people happy for 17 years now. A: I'd recommend wearing a swimsuit or quick-dry clothes since you might get splashed a bit! Also, don’t forget a hat and sunglasses for sun protection. If you have water shoes, those are great too since you’ll be pulling the kayak on and off the water. Just make sure whatever you wear is comfortable for paddling!

Q: Is there a weight limit for the tandem kayak? I’m concerned about that for my partner and I.

A: Great question! Most tandem kayaks generally have a weight capacity of around 400-500 lbs combined. If you’re close to that, just check with Rainbow Watersports before booking. They’re super helpful and can give you more details on the specific kayaks they use.

Just did the tandem kayak rental and it was epic!

We just got back from our tandem kayak rental at Haleiwa Bay and it was an incredible experience! The turtles were so cool, and paddling through the stream was so scenic. It was a great workout, but not too hard. I’d definitely recommend this as a gift for anyone who loves the outdoors. Bring a waterproof camera if you have one!
