Perfect for families and younger children to get their feet wet in the world of whitewater rafting with a slightly slower pace, though a couple fun rapids you go through keep excitement up. All this while in prime viewing area for some of Colorado's best scenery! On our Family Rafting Adventure there are always opportunities to view some of Colorado’s wildlife. Common sightings along the river include deer, beaver, otter, eagle, osprey, waterfowl, and much more. Dry bags are available for purchase in our store, so you will have the opportunity to bring along a camera and capture photos of beautiful scenery and lasting memories.

A: This trip is perfect for kids as young as 6! The guides are great with children, and they make sure everyone feels safe and included. The rapids are mild, so it's a great way for younger ones to get their feet wet without being too intense. Just make sure they can comfortably wear a life jacket!

A: Weather can sometimes play a role, but they usually run the trips unless conditions are unsafe. If it does get canceled, they’ll help you reschedule for another day. It's a good idea to have a backup plan just in case, like exploring downtown Glenwood Springs or the hot springs!

Q: What should we wear for the rafting trip? Any specific recommendations?

A: You’ll want to wear something that can get wet! Quick-dry clothing is best, and definitely wear water shoes or sandals that strap on. Swimsuits are great too, and don’t forget sunscreen! The guides usually have extra dry bags if you need to store anything like a camera.

Just got back from the Glenwood Springs Family Raft Trip!

We just did the Glenwood Springs short family raft trip and it was AMAZING. Our kids, aged 6 and 9, had a blast! The guides were super friendly and made the whole experience fun. The scenery was gorgeous, and we even saw some deer along the banks. Totally recommend it for families looking for a little adventure without too much intensity!
