Q: What’s the age limit for kids? Can I take my 5-year-old with me?

A: Yes! You can definitely take your 5-year-old. The canoes can hold up to 4 people if 2 are small kids. Just make sure they wear a lifejacket, which they provide. It's a great family activity, and the staff at TC Paddlesports are super helpful with kids.

Q: What if the weather is bad on the day we have it booked?

A: If the weather looks bad, TC Paddlesports will contact you beforehand to discuss rescheduling. They want everyone to have a great time. So, if it's stormy or super windy, don’t worry—you won't be stuck out there!

Q: How difficult is it? I'm not very athletic.

A: The canoeing experience is relatively easy and suitable for beginners! Just a little paddling and you’re set. There are calm areas on the water, and the staff can show you all the basics. Plus, you can take breaks, so no pressure!

I’m considering giving my partner a canoe rental at Panther Island for our anniversary. I love how it’s up to 4 people, so we could take our kids too! The prices seem reasonable and it sounds super fun. Has anyone tried this before? Any tips?

Canoe rental was a blast!

I just got back from renting a canoe at Panther Island and it was sooo fun! We went for an hour, and it was the perfect amount of time. The water was calm, and even my kids loved paddling. Highly recommend it for a family outing or date
