On this GPS guided scooter tour you will start in historic Little Italy that was home to the Italian community, and see how it evolved into the modern business and artistic community it is today. Make your past the ships in the bay that explored the new world, or patrolled the waters in time of war, into the Gaslamp Quarter which was once San Diego’s red-light district and see how it got re-imagined into the social scene it is today. As you leave modern San Diego you will begin your tip into history as you make your way through beautiful Mission Hills, you will pass many houses and businesses 50 years old and some much older. Your jump into history will take you past Historic Fort Stockton, into Presidio Park where the old Spanish Mission used to stand, into Old Town San Diego where you can see how San Diego looked in the old west with its Spanish and American residents forming a thriving community.

Q&A

Q: Are there any age restrictions for this scooter tour?

A: Yes, participants need to be at least 12 years old to join the tour. Kids under 18 will need a parent or guardian to sign a waiver for them. It’s a fun way for families to explore San Diego together, just make sure the younger ones are comfortable riding a scooter!

Q: What happens if the weather is bad on the day of the tour?

A: If the weather doesn’t cooperate, they usually reschedule the tour for you. Just give them a call or email, and they’ll work with you to find another time. I’ve done this before and they were super helpful!

Q: How difficult is this tour? I’m not very experienced with scooters.

A: The tour is pretty beginner-friendly! They provide a rider orientation, so you’ll get a chance to practice before heading out. The scooters are electric, so it’s not too strenuous. Just be comfortable with balancing, and you should be good to go!

Just did the scooter tour and it was awesome!

I went on the GPS self-guided scooter tour last week in San Diego and it was such a blast! We started in Little Italy, which has so much history. The scooters were super easy to ride, and the GPS made it really fun to find our way around. I loved checking out Old Town and the Gaslamp Quarter. Definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a unique way to explore the city. The price is totally worth it!

Thinking of gifting this scooter tour! Any tips?

I’m thinking of getting this scooter tour experience for my friend’s birthday. She loves exploring and trying new things, and this seems perfect! Just wondering if anyone has tips for making the experience even better? Maybe something to bring or wear?
