Q&A

Q: How should I dress for the eco elk safari? Is it cold in the mountains?

A: Definitely dress in layers! It can be chilly in the morning, but it'll warm up as the day goes on. I'd recommend wearing a light jacket that you can take off if needed, plus comfy shoes since you'll be walking a bit. Don't forget your sunglasses and sunscreen, too! It can get bright up there.

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on this tour?

A: Kids are welcome on the safari! There isn't a strict age limit, but they should be able to sit in the open-air jeep comfortably. It's a great experience for families. Just make sure your little ones can handle some time outdoors and keep an eye on them, especially around the wildlife.

Q: What happens if there's bad weather? Can we reschedule?

A: If the weather is too severe for safety, they'll contact you to reschedule. Otherwise, light rain usually doesn't cancel the tours. Just keep an eye on the forecast and be flexible with your plans! They’re pretty accommodating.

Just got back from the Eco Elk Safari—wow!

I took the Eco Elk Safari last week in Asheville, and it was such a blast! We saw elk right away, plus some black bears in the distance. The jeep ride was bumpy but fun, and the guide shared some awesome Cherokee stories. The waterfalls were stunning, and the fresh mountain air was just what I needed. Highly recommend it as a gift for nature lovers!

Considering gifting the Eco Elk Safari to my parents!

My folks love nature but have never done a safari. I came across the Smoky Mtn. Cherokee Eco Elk Safari, and it looks perfect! I just want to know if it’s worth the money and how the experience is. Any tips for getting the most out of it?
