Q&A

Q: What's the best way to prepare for the weather during the whale tour?

A: Definitely check the forecast before you go! Juneau can be unpredictable, so dress in layers. It's a good idea to have a waterproof jacket and some warm clothes because it can get chilly on the water. Don't forget your sunglasses—reflective water can be bright!

Q: Are there age restrictions for kids on this whale tour?

A: There are no strict age limits, but kids should be able to sit still for a few hours. It's suitable for families, and I brought my 7-year-old who loved it! Just make sure they understand the safety rules like staying near the cabin when it gets bumpy.

Q: Can I bring my own snacks and drinks on the whale tour?

A: Yes! You can totally bring your own snacks and drinks. There's complimentary water available, but packing some snacks is a good idea, especially if you're going with kids. Just keep it simple so it doesn't make a mess!

Just got back from the crowd-skipping whale tour in Juneau—amazing!

Hey everyone! I went on the 3.5-hour whale tour last week, and wow, it was one of the best experiences I've ever had. The catamaran was super comfy, and the views of the glaciers were breathtaking. We saw a couple of humpback whales breeching and even a sea lion lounging on a rock! I’d recommend bringing a warm jacket for the deck, and snacks since you can bring your own. Totally worth it!

Considering the whale tour as a gift—thoughts?

I’m thinking of getting the whale tour as a gift for my parents. They love nature and wildlife, but I’m a little nervous about the weather since it’s coming up soon. How cold does it really get out there? Also, is it suitable for them since they’re not super active?
