Q&A
A: You'll want to have a DSLR or mirrorless camera, ideally with a telephoto lens of 400mm or longer. It's necessary for capturing those distant wildlife shots in Yellowstone! If you have a basic understanding of camera settings, you'll be set to learn a lot on this trip. Don't forget to bring extra batteries and memory cards since you'll be shooting a ton!
A: There's no specific age limit, but it's recommended for ages 12 and up since it involves a good bit of walking and some patience while waiting for wildlife. Kids who are interested in photography will have a blast, though!
A: Dress in layers! The weather can be pretty variable in Yellowstone. You’ll want a moisture-wicking base layer, a warm middle layer, and a weather-resistant outer layer. Comfortable hiking boots are a must too, as you might be walking quite a bit. Don't forget a hat and sunglasses for sunny days!

Thinking about gifting the Yellowstone photography tour - any tips?
I’m considering this 3-day guided wildlife photography tour in Yellowstone for my photography-loving friend. It sounds amazing with all the wildlife hotspots like Lamar Valley and Tower Junction! I’m just a bit worried about the level of difficulty and if it’s too much for someone who's not super experienced. Anyone have insights?
Anyone else obsessed with the Yellowstone wildlife tour?
I went on this tour a few weeks ago and wow, it was incredible! We saw bison, elk, and even a bear! The guides really know their stuff and helped us with some long-lens techniques. The one-on-one post-processing session via Discord afterward was a game changer too! Highly recommend it for any level of photographer.
