Q&A
A: The best time to take this tour is during the spring (April-June) or fall (September-October). The weather is usually milder, and the crowds are fewer. Plus, you'll get to see some beautiful fall foliage or spring blooms in those seasons. Just make sure to check for possible rain in the spring!
A: No specific age limits, but I'd say it's great for kids aged 8 and up. The hikes at Crater Lake and in the Redwood Forest can be a bit challenging for younger ones, but there are plenty of easier paths. Just keep an eye on them near the cliffs at Crater Lake!
A: You won’t get to choose the hotel due to availability, but they'll usually let you know the name soon after booking. The rooms typically have either double beds or a king/queen; just make sure to mention how many in your party when you book. The hotels are usually decent, though. I've stayed at a pretty nice one!

Just got back from the Redwood & Crater Lake tour - WOW!
I just did the 3 Day Tour to Oregon Redwood Crater Lake from San Francisco and it was amazing! The drive through the Redwood National Forest was like being in a different world. Crater Lake is breathtaking, and the wine tasting in Napa was a great bonus! Our guide was super friendly and knowledgeable too. Highly recommend if you're thinking about it for a gift, especially for nature lovers!
Considering this tour as a gift!
I'm thinking about getting this 3-day tour to Crater Lake and the Redwoods for my parents' anniversary. They love road trips and the outdoors, plus who doesn't like wine?! 😂 Anyone done it recently? Just want to know if it's worth it!
