Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for this kayak adventure? Looking to take my kids!

A: Great question! Kids as young as 6 are welcome on the guided kayak adventure, but they need to be accompanied by an adult. They also need to be able to fit in the life jackets provided. Just make sure they’re comfortable in the water! It’s a fun way to learn about manatees and the area.

Q: What should I wear for the kayak tour? Any tips?

A: Definitely wear something you can get wet in! A swimsuit or quick-dry clothing is ideal. Don’t forget sunscreen and maybe a hat, too. Water shoes are a good idea since you'll be getting in and out of the kayak. It can get pretty sunny out there!

Q: Can this tour be rescheduled if the weather is bad?

A: Yes! If the weather looks bad, you can reschedule for a later date. The team will definitely prioritize your safety and comfort first. It’s best to keep an eye on the weather forecast before your trip though, just in case!

Just did the kayak adventure in Crystal River – Worth every penny!

I took the 3-hour guided kayak adventure last weekend with Waterfront Adventures, and it was amazing! The guides really know their stuff about manatees and the local ecosystem. Paddling around Kings Bay was so peaceful. We even saw a few manatees up close! Can't recommend this enough if you’re looking for a unique gift experience for someone who loves nature.

Thinking about gifting the kayak adventure – any tips?

I’m looking into buying this kayak experience for my boyfriend’s birthday. He loves the outdoors but has never kayaked before. Do you think this is a good choice? What’s the difficulty like?
