Q&A

Q: What should I wear for the kayak adventure? Is it okay to bring a camera?

A: You’ll want to wear something comfortable that you don’t mind getting wet—swimsuits are great! Lightweight, moisture-wicking clothes are also a good idea. And yes, definitely bring a waterproof camera or a GoPro if you have one. You’ll want to capture those manatee moments!

Q: How hard is the kayaking? Is it suitable for beginners?

A: It’s pretty beginner-friendly! The guides are super helpful and will teach you everything you need to know about paddling and spotting manatees. You’ll be fine even if you’ve never kayaked before. Just be ready for a little exercise!

Q: Can we reschedule if the weather is bad?

A: Yes, you can definitely reschedule! Just reach out to Waterfront Adventures, and they’ll help you find a new date that works. They prioritize safety, so if the weather’s not cooperating, they won’t take you out. Always better to be safe!

Just booked the tandem kayak adventure in Crystal River!

I’m so excited! I booked the 3-hour guided tandem kayak adventure for me and my partner. We love being outdoors, and I can’t wait to see manatees up close. Plus, it’s only half a mile from the Three Sisters Springs! Anyone have tips for first-timers? What should we expect?

Anyone done the kayak adventure with kids? How was it?

I'm thinking of gifting this experience to my family, but I’m wondering if it’s kid-friendly. My kids are 8 and 10. Would they be able to handle tandem kayaking? We're in Florida, so I think they'd love the manatees!
