Q&A
A: I did the tour in December and it was beautiful! The lights really pop against the winter sky. Just dress warmly since you'll be outside a bit. Spring and fall are great too, but winter has a certain charm with the holiday lights.
A: No specific age limits! Kids are welcome, and they usually enjoy the lights and stories about the monuments. Just keep an eye on them, as it can get crowded in some areas.
A: Definitely dress in layers! A light jacket is a must even in summer because it can get cold once the sun sets. Comfortable shoes are key too since you might be walking a bit.

Thinking about gifting the Shining City Tour!
Hey everyone! I'm looking to buy this evening tour in DC for my partner's birthday. The idea of seeing the monuments lit up sounds magical. Has anyone done this? What did you think? Any tips on the best time to go or what to expect?
Just did the Shining City Tour, and WOW!
I took the Shining City tour last week and it blew my mind. The guide was super knowledgeable, and seeing the Capitol and Lincoln Memorial lit up at night was unforgettable! I'd totally recommend it as a unique date night. We went in late summer, so the weather was perfect too.
