Q&A

Q: Is this hike suitable for kids?

A: Absolutely! The Aiea Loop Trail is pretty beginner-friendly and not overly strenuous. Kids can definitely handle it, plus they’ll love the stream crossing at the end! Just keep an eye on them near the bomber wreckage since it can be a bit rocky. Bring some snacks for them too, they'll need the energy!

Q: What should we wear for the hike? Is it muddy?

A: Definitely wear comfortable hiking shoes since it can get a bit muddy, especially near the stream. Breathable clothing is a must because it gets warm in Hawaii. I'd suggest a hat and sunscreen too! And don’t forget a light jacket just in case it rains.

Q: Can we reschedule if the weather is bad?

A: Yes, Andy is pretty flexible with rescheduling due to weather! Just reach out to him directly and he’ll help you find a new date. It’s always better to be safe than to hike in bad conditions, especially with kids involved.

Just did the Aiea Loop Trail hike and it was amazing!

I took my brother for his birthday gift and we had a blast! The trail was so beautiful, and seeing the B-24 bomber wreckage was definitely the highlight. The stream crossing at the end was super fun, but be prepared for wet shoes! Andy was a great guide too. We loved the lunch at IHOP afterward; that 20% discount is a nice touch. Highly recommend this experience!

Considering the Aiea Loop Trail as a gift—any thoughts?

I’m thinking of gifting this hiking experience to my parents for their anniversary. They’re not super experienced hikers but love nature. Do you think this trail is easy enough for them? What’s the best time of year to go?
