re:3D is a fully open source, collaborative company with a social mission focused on breaking through the limits of 3D printing and creating actionable solutions to recycling plastics. At our Austin HQ, you will learn how 3D printing works, see how large-format 3D printers get made, touch and feel 3D prints from around the world and learn from experts in additive manufacturing. To book a tour, please select your preferred day and time between 9:30 AM and 4:00 PM and we will do our best to accommodate you. We are also willing to accommodate groups larger than fifteen people. Q: Is there an age limit for the factory tour? Can kids participate?

A: There's no strict age limit, but I'd say kids 8 and up would really get the most out of it. They’ll love the rocket part, and the hands-on experience is great for curious minds. I took my 10-year-old, and it was a hit! Just keep an eye on them during the factory part.

Q: How long does the tour last? And what should we wear?

A: The tour usually lasts about 1 to 1.5 hours. It’s super hands-on, so wear comfy clothes and closed-toe shoes. You might get a bit of plastic dust on you, but it’s all good fun! Just be prepared to snap some pics with the rockets!

Q: If the weather's bad, do they cancel tours? What's the policy?

A: They typically don’t cancel unless it’s severe weather. If something comes up, they usually work with you to reschedule. Just keep an eye on the forecast, and you can email them to double-check if needed!

Just booked the 3D Printer Factory Tour! So excited!

I just snagged spots for the 3D Printer Factory Tour in Austin for my husband’s birthday! He’s been obsessed with 3D printing for ages. The best part? We get to make a 2 ft rocket together! Had a blast at the 3D Printer Factory tour!

I went on the factory tour last week with my son. It was incredible! We learned so much about 3D printing and the staff was super informative. The highlight was definitely the giant rocket we got to take home! It’s now proudly displayed in our living room. Highly recommend this experience for anyone curious about tech!
