Our Kawasaki Teryx side-by-side ATVs (UTVs) deliver an amazing off-road experience. These robust and versatile machines come with powerful 800cc electric start, 4-stroke EFI engines, CVT (automatic) transmission, and a well-tuned suspension that's perfect for our trail system. We sit at the junction of 3 major ATV trails, located halfway between Cable and Hayward, Wisconsin. Park your car, hop in the machine, and ride. This provides direct access to over 1000 miles of heavily forested, hilly, winding trails that course through northern Wisconsin. Trails are well-marked and many quaint trailside resorts and restaurants dot the area. We'll help you plot out a route, assist with reading the trail map, and give recommendations for places to stop. There are smartphone GPS apps available or take advantage of our entertaining & fun guide service.

Q&A

Q: What's the age limit for riding the ATVs?

A: You need to be at least 16 years old to drive the ATVs. However, younger kids can ride as passengers if they’re at least 8 years old and wear a helmet. Just make sure they can hold on tight! Most parents I saw had their kids riding with them and they had a blast.

Q: How does the weather affect the ATV rentals? Can we reschedule if it rains?

A: If the weather's bad, they usually allow you to reschedule without extra fees. Just give them a call or check their website for updates. The trails can get muddy and not so fun when it's wet, so it’s good to choose a day with nice weather. They’ve been super accommodating when I had to change plans!

Q: Is there parking available at the rental location?

A: Yep, there’s plenty of parking at Runamuk Rides! It’s pretty easy to get to, and you can park right by the rental area. Just be sure to arrive a little early to get checked in and go through the safety briefing before hitting the trails.

Thinking about gifting a 4-hour ATV rental in Hayward - any thoughts?

I’m considering this ATV rental for my brother’s birthday. He’s never done anything like this before and I think he’d love the adventure! The idea of cruising around those 1000 miles of trails sounds epic. Just wondering if it’s beginner-friendly or should I expect him to struggle? Also, any recommendations on what to wear?

Had a blast on the ATV trails in Hayward!

Just got back from a 4-hour rental and it was amazing! We followed the trails up to Cable and stopped at a cute lodge for lunch. The ATVs were super easy to handle, even for my girlfriend who had never driven one before. We definitely want to do this again next summer! If you’re thinking about it, just go for it!
