Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on this excursion? I want to take my family!

A: There’s no official age limit! Kids are welcome, and they usually have a blast. Just make sure they know how to wear a life jacket, as that's important for safety on the water. The captain is great with families and can help keep the kids entertained while you explore Shell Key.

Q: What should we wear for the boat trip? Is it casual or more upscale?

A: Casual is the way to go! Think swimsuits, cover-ups, and comfy sandals. Since there’s a chance you might get wet, maybe bring a change of clothes just in case. And don’t forget the sunscreen and hats—the sun can be intense out there!

Q: What happens if the weather turns bad? Can we reschedule?

A: If weather conditions are unsafe, the provider will usually contact you to reschedule. You can definitely work with them to find a new date that works. Just keep an eye on the forecast leading up to your day—sometimes Florida weather can change in an hour!

Thinking of gifting the Island/Sandbar Excursion to my partner!

Hey everyone! I’m considering the 4-Hour Island/Sandbar Excursion with a Captain for my partner’s birthday. We love the water and the idea of exploring Shell Key sounds awesome. Has anyone done this? What did you think? Also, what’s the best time of year to go?

Best spots to eat at during the excursion?

I’m planning to take my friends on this boat trip and I want to know if the waterfront restaurant stops are any good. What should we check out? Is it worth it to stop for lunch?
