Capt. James was born and raised on the west coast of Florida, and has been fishing the waters of Sarasota, Bradenton, and Tampa Bay for over 15 years. Q: What should I wear for the fishing trip? Is it really hot out there?

A: I'd recommend wearing lightweight, breathable clothing since it can get pretty warm out on the water, especially during summer. A wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses are also a must to protect from the sun. Don’t forget some sunscreen! If you’re going early in the morning or late in the evening, a light jacket might be nice for the cooler air.

Q: Can we reschedule if the weather looks bad?

A: Yes! Captain James is super accommodating. If the weather’s not safe for fishing, he’ll work with you to reschedule to another day that works for you. Just be sure to check with him ahead of time so you can plan accordingly!

Just went on a fishing trip with Captain James!

I took the 4-hour private inshore fishing trip with Captain James last week and wow, what an experience! He was super chill and really knows his stuff about fishing in Sarasota. Caught some snook and a massive tarpon! The tackle and gear were all provided, and we had bottled water. Highly recommend it for anyone who loves fishing or just wants a fun day on the water!
