From the Pier to Paradise. You’ll sail by the beautiful shorelines of St. Pete, pass under the stunning Sunshine Skyway bridge and perhaps see a dolphin or two! This is the only charter offering service from downtown St. Petersburg traveling to Egmont Key and passing under the Sunshine Skyway. You will have 2 hours on Egmont Key to explore the pristine beaches, historic lighthouse, ruins of Ft. Dade, and the amazing wildlife before your return trip. Please note you will have to step into shallow water when going on the island. Unlike all other boat services to Egmont Key, The Pelican St Pete will stay with you on the island - bathrooms and a bit of shade if needed, available the entire time.

Q&A

Q: What should I wear for the ferry to Egmont Key? Is it wet?

A: Definitely wear something comfortable and beach-appropriate! You'll need to step into shallow water to get to Egmont Key, so flip-flops or water shoes are a good idea. Also, bring a swimsuit and maybe a cover-up if you want to walk around the island. Don't forget sunscreen – the sun can be pretty intense out there!

Q: How's the parking situation at the St. Pete Pier? Is it easy to find?

A: Parking can be a bit tricky, especially on weekends. The Pier has a parking garage, and it usually has spots, but it fills up fast. I recommend arriving early to snag a good spot. If you're looking to save, there's also street parking nearby, but read the signs carefully to avoid tickets!

Q: Can kids go on this ferry trip? What ages are best?

A: Yes, kids can absolutely enjoy this experience! It's great for families, and the beach on Egmont Key is perfect for them to explore. I took my 6 and 8-year-olds, and they loved it. Just keep an eye on them near the water, and they’ll have a blast! There’s no age limit.
