Q&A

Q: What should I wear for the kayaking part of the tour? Is it chilly at night?

A: I did this tour last month and the kayaking was a highlight! You'll want layers since it gets chilly after sunset. A good windbreaker, quick-dry pants, and water shoes worked for me. They do provide safety gear, but bring a light jacket just in case. Make sure you’re comfortable since you might get splashed! Also, bring a towel for after.

Q: Is there an age limit for this tour? I'm thinking of bringing my teenager.

A: Great question! This tour is totally family-friendly, and teens are welcome. Just keep in mind that the kayaking part does require a bit of physical effort, so make sure your teen is okay with that. I brought my 16-year-old and she loved it! Just be prepared for some wine tasting events—might need to get a designated driver for that part!

Q: What happens if it rains? Can we reschedule?

A: If it rains, they have a flexible rescheduling policy. You can contact the provider to change your dates without a hassle. A lot of the activities are weather-dependent, so they monitor the forecasts closely. They also have alternatives planned if it’s just light rain. It's good to check with them ahead of time, though, just for peace of mind!

Just got back from the California Vineyards tour and WOW!

So I just wrapped up the 5-day California Vineyards, Waves, and Wine tour, and I'm still buzzing from it! The highlight had to be the bioluminescent kayak tour—it's unreal, guys! Watching the water light up as you paddle is something I’ll never forget. The food on this trip was top-notch too, especially the Chef’s Table lunch at the vineyard. If you like wine and the outdoors, this is a must-do! I can’t recommend it enough.

Thinking of gifting this tour! Any thoughts?

I’m planning to gift this 5-day tour to my parents for their anniversary. They love wine and nature, but I’m a bit worried about the logistics, like transportation and how much downtime there is. Are the accommodations nice? Any tips on making it a perfect gift?
