Q&A
A: You’ll definitely want to wear comfortable clothes that can get a bit wet! Lightweight, breathable fabrics are a must since you’re out on the water, plus don’t forget sunscreen and a hat. Sandals or waterproof shoes are a good idea too since it's all outdoors. And bring a light jacket if it’s breezy in the morning!
A: Yes, kids are welcome on the fishing trip! There isn’t an official age limit, but it’s really best for ages 6 and up since they’ll need to handle some basic equipment. Just check with the charter in advance to ensure they’re prepared for young ones. And it’s a great way to bond and teach them about fishing!
A: Great question! If the weather is unsafe, they’ll definitely reschedule the trip for you. The charter is pretty flexible about that, and it’s better to be safe than sorry. Just make sure you check in with them a day or two before your scheduled date to confirm the weather!

Just booked a 5-hour guided fishing trip - any tips?
I’m super excited! Just booked this fishing trip near Kemah for my boyfriend’s birthday. It’s supposed to be a great spot for Redfish and Flounder. I’ve never been fishing like this before, so I’m a little nervous. Anyone got tips on what to expect or how to reel in a big one? Also, do they provide everything we need?
Best fishing experience ever at Kemah!
I went on the 5-hour guided trip last month and it was amazing! Caught a bunch of Redfish and they cleaned them for us afterward. The crew was super chill and gave us tips. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to fish or even as a gift! Just make sure to wear sunblock, it gets hot out there.
