This 6 HOUR LOCAL FOOD TOUR will get your taste buds going crazy! Step outside of your comfort and have some ONO HAWAIIAN GRINDZ! TOUR LOCATIONS: Leonard’s Bakery for some Hot Malasadas. Loco Moco at Rainbow Drive-In. The Famous Mike’s Huli Huli Chicken to try the Best Kiawe Wood cooked Huli Chicken on Oahu. The Kona Coffee and Macadamia Nut Tropical Farms. The Famous Yellow Shrimp Shack for some of the best Local Garlic and Coconut Shrimp. Kahuku Land Farms Farmers Market to grab some famous North Shore fried banana lumpia. Ted’s Bakery for Coconut Haupia chocolate pie. Haleiwa Town for the Famous Hawaiian Shave Ice. From there we head to the either a Old Tiki Bar, Sugar Plantation or Bakery depending on drop off Resort Location. FOOD IS NOT INCLUDED!

Q: Is food included in the tour, or do we need to buy everything ourselves?

A: Food is not included in the price of the tour, so you’ll need to pay for all your meals at each stop. Just a heads up, the malasadas from Leonard’s Bakery are a must-try, but they can be a bit pricey! Plan to spend around $30-$50 per person for the food throughout the day, depending on how much you want to eat.

Q: What’s the best outfit for this tour? Is it a lot of walking?

A: I’d recommend wearing comfy clothes since you'll be in and out of the Jeep multiple times. Lightweight layers are great because it can get hot but then a bit breezy at some stops. Good shoes are a must if you plan on checking out any of the local markets. There’s definitely walking involved, especially at the farmers market!

Q: Are there any age restrictions for this experience?

A: No specific age restrictions, but it’s best suited for teens and adults since it involves a lot of food and some walking. Kids might enjoy it too, but just keep in mind that it runs for about 6 hours! If you do bring younger kids, check with the provider in advance if they offer any discounts for them.

Just did the 6 Hour Local Food Plate Jeep Tour in Honolulu!

OMG, this tour was insane! We went to Leonard’s Bakery for those famous malasadas, and they were SO fluffy and warm 😍. I loved the Loco Moco from Rainbow Drive-In too! It’s super casual but perfect for lunch. Every stop was just delightful, especially the Huli Huli chicken – shoutout to Mike’s! I felt like I was on a food pilgrimage. Definitely worth it for food lovers! Anyone else done this tour?

I want to get this tour for my sister’s birthday. She loves food and has never been to Hawaii! What do you think? Is it good for someone who’s not super adventurous with food? Just worried she won’t like the Huli Huli chicken or something. Thoughts?
