Q&A

Q: What's the age limit for kids on the scalloping trip?

A: There isn't a strict age limit, but kids around 5 and up tend to really enjoy the experience! They’ll need to be comfortable in the water and wear life jackets, which are provided. Just make sure to keep an eye on them during snorkeling. It's a great family activity!

Q: Can you reschedule if the weather looks bad?

A: Yes, you can definitely reschedule if the weather doesn’t cooperate. The captain will contact you to discuss options based on conditions. It's always best to check a day or two ahead to be sure!

Q: What should we wear for the scalloping trip?

A: Lightweight swimwear is best since you’ll be in and out of the water a lot. Also, don’t forget sunscreen and maybe a hat! Water shoes are also a good idea for walking around the boat and the scalloping spots.

Thinking of booking the scalloping trip – any tips?

I’m considering getting the 7-hour private scalloping package in Crystal River for my family's vacation next month. I’ve heard the captains know all the best spots! What should we bring? Any tips for a smooth day on the water?

Just did the scalloping trip – it was epic!

We went on the scalloping trip a couple of weeks ago and I can't say enough good things about it! The guides were super experienced and made sure everyone was having fun. We got loads of scallops and the stop at the spring to rinse off was a nice touch. Highly recommend this for a family outing!
