Q: Is there an age limit for kids to join the deep sea fishing trip? Thinking of taking my 10-year-old.

A: There isn’t a strict age limit, but I’d recommend kids at least 8 and up will have a better time reeling in bigger fish. Just keep in mind they might need some help from the crew to handle the gear. The captains are usually very kid-friendly, and they’ll make sure everyone has a safe and fun day out on the water!

Q: What do I need to wear for a day on the boat? Any tips on shoes?

A: Definitely wear layered clothing since it can be chilly in the morning but hot in the afternoon. A good pair of non-slip shoes is a must – you'll be moving around a lot! And don’t forget sunscreen because you can burn fast out there. A hat and polarized sunglasses help a ton too!

Q: What if the weather is bad? Can we reschedule our trip?

A: Yes, they have a flexible rescheduling policy if the weather looks rough. Usually, they'll contact you the day before to confirm, but if you want to change your date due to weather forecasts, just call and they can help you find a new time. Safety comes first!

Just got back from the 8-Hour Deep Sea Fishing Adventure in Destin!

I can’t recommend this experience enough! The crew from Sweet Jody Family Adventures were amazing, super friendly, and knew all the best spots. We caught Mahi-Mahi and some huge Tuna. The whole day was just perfect. Also, the views of the coastline were unreal. Be prepared for a lot of sun and make sure to hydrate. Can't wait to go again!

I’m considering getting this trip for my hubby's birthday. He loves fishing but has never done deep sea before. Sounds like such a cool experience in Destin! Do they provide everything we need, or should I bring anything special? He's going to be so excited if I get this for him!
