Q&A
A: Yes, the Kenai Fjords Whale Watching Tour is generally kid-friendly! Kids over 5 years old usually enjoy it, but all kids are different. Just keep in mind that it can get a bit chilly out on the water, so layers are a good idea. Also, the boat ride can be bumpy, so it's a good idea for parents to sit closer to the center if they have little ones.
A: Yep! Saltwater Safari Tours has a good policy for weather-related cancellations. If the trip can’t go ahead due to weather, they’ll help you reschedule for another day. Just make sure to check their cancellation policy when you book. It's super flexible!
A: Dress in layers! It can get chilly, especially on the water. I'd recommend a waterproof jacket, warm clothes underneath, and possibly a hat. Some folks wear those slip-on shoes; they're great for the boat. Don't forget sunscreen, too—you're going to be out for a while!

Just did the Kenai Fjords Whale Watching Tour—amazing!
I recently took the 8hr Kenai Fjords Whale Watching Tour with Saltwater Safari, and it was absolutely worth every penny! The crew was super friendly and knowledgeable. We saw a bunch of whales, seals, and even some puffins! The fishing part was a nice bonus, though I just caught some little ones. Definitely recommend dressing in layers and bringing your camera! If you’re thinking of gifting this experience, go for it!

Hey everyone! I’m thinking of getting the Kenai Fjords Whale Watching Tour for my parents. They love nature and have always wanted to see whales. I’m a bit worried about how long it is—8 hours seems like a lot! Anyone have thoughts on whether it’s too much for older folks? Is it easy to handle?
