Q&A
A: Yes, kids are definitely welcome on the sailing tour! There’s no strict age limit, but I would recommend it for kids 5 and up since they’ll enjoy the views and the commentary. Just make sure they’re good with being on a boat for about 90 minutes. Bring some snacks for them too!
A: Comfortable, casual clothing is best! I recommend wearing layers since it can get windy on the water. A light jacket or sweater is a good idea, and don’t forget sunscreen! Also, non-slip shoes are great for walking around the boat.
A: Parking is pretty straightforward! There’s a lot near the dock that charges a small fee, but it fills up quickly on weekends. I suggest arriving about 30 minutes early to find a spot. There’s also street parking nearby if you’re lucky!

Thinking about gifting the Portland sailing tour - any tips?
I’m looking to get a sailing tour of Portland for my boyfriend’s birthday! I’ve read amazing reviews about the views and how fun it is. I’m curious if anyone has gone on this tour with a group? Is it better during sunset? I want to make it special!
Just went on the 90-minute sailing tour - what an experience!
I took the sailing tour last weekend and it was so worth it! The floating homes were gorgeous, and the guide’s commentary was really interesting. The breeze felt amazing, especially on a warm day. I’d say the fun run up Ross Island was the highlight! Definitely adding this to my gift list for friends.
