Q&A

Q: How likely are we to see whales on this tour in late September?

A: Late September can be a good time to see whales, especially Humpbacks, as they’re still around feeding before migration. Just remember, wildlife is unpredictable, so there’s no guarantee. But the guides are super experienced and know the best spots! You might also see some sea otters and seals, which is always a bonus.

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on this whale watching tour?

A: There’s no strict age limit, but kids should be able to wear a life jacket comfortably and handle being on a boat for a few hours. It’s a great family-friendly experience, just recommend to check with the provider for any specific concerns.

Q: What should we wear on the whale watching tour? Is it cold?

A: Definitely dress in layers! It can get chilly on the water even in summer. A waterproof jacket is a must, and don't forget comfy shoes. If it’s sunny, sunscreen is also a good idea. You'll be outside a lot, so be prepared for anything!

Thinking of gifting a whale watching tour in Sitka!

Hey everyone! I’m considering getting the Sitka Whale Watching Wildlife Shore Excursion for my partner's birthday. I've heard it's really personal since there are only six guests. Has anyone done this? What was your experience? Any tips on when's the best time to go?

Just did the whale watching tour, and it was epic!

I just got back from the Sitka whale watching tour, and wow, it was such an incredible experience! We saw several whales and a bunch of sea otters. The guide was super knowledgeable and made it really fun. If you're thinking of gifting this, do it! You won’t regret it.
