Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for this audio tour? Thinking about gifting it to my kids who are 10 and 12.

A: There's no specific age limit for this tour! It’s great for families, and I think your kids will enjoy the stories about the Gold Rush. Just make sure they can stay engaged for the full 150 minutes. It’s pretty flexible, so you can always take breaks at the stops along the way.

Q: Can I reschedule if I buy this as a gift? What if the recipient can’t go on the day they planned?

A: Yes! Once you buy the tour, they get unlimited access before and after the booking date. So they can choose any day that works for them to do the tour. The flexibility is a big plus!

Q: What’s the best time of year to do this tour? I want to avoid bad weather.

A: Spring and fall are usually the best times to do this tour. The weather is mild, and you get beautiful scenery. Summers can be hot, and winter can bring rain. Since it’s self-guided, you can pick a day with the best forecast!

Thinking of gifting the Highway 49 Drive tour, anyone done it?

I’m considering getting this as a gift for my parents who love history and road trips. The idea of them exploring Gold Country while listening to a guided tour sounds perfect! Does anyone have tips on the best spots to stop along the way? Also, is it easy to navigate with the app?

Just did the Highway 49 Drive, and it was awesome!

I just finished the self-guided tour last weekend, and wow! The stories about the Gold Rush were fascinating. Stopping in Jackson for lunch was a highlight — make sure to check out the old saloon. Easily took us about 3 hours because we lingered. Definitely worth it!
