Q&A

Q: Is this tour suitable for kids? What age range do you think would enjoy it?

A: Definitely! The African American Heritage Tour is great for kids, especially if they're old enough to appreciate history. I'd say ages 10 and up would really get something out of it. There’s a lot of engaging stories and cool stops like Muhammad Ali's home that’ll spark their interest!

Q: How does the pick-up from the airport work? Do you have to arrange it ahead of time?

A: You should definitely arrange the airport pick-up in advance. Just let the tour provider know ahead of time, and they’ll coordinate with you. It’s pretty convenient, especially since you save about 10% compared to an Uber. Make sure to confirm your flight details!

Q: What happens if it rains? Is the tour canceled?

A: Rain shouldn't cancel the tour since you're mostly inside the vehicle and at the DuSable Museum. However, if there's severe weather, they may reschedule, so it's best to check the weather and keep in touch with the provider the day of your tour.

Got a chance to do the African American Heritage Tour – so great!

I took the African American Heritage Tour in Chicago last month, and it was honestly amazing. We got to see the DuSable Museum and then the homes of some incredible figures like Muhammad Ali and Barack Obama! The guide shared some fascinating stories about the Great Migration and the impact of African Americans on the city. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to dive deep into Chicago's history!

Thinking of gifting the African American Heritage Tour – any thoughts?

I’m planning to get this tour as a gift for my boyfriend’s birthday. He loves history, especially about civil rights. I’m a bit worried about the logistics though, like parking and timing. Has anyone done this? Any tips would be appreciated!
