Q&A
A: There's no strict weight limit for the Palmetto Breeze, but the crew does try to balance the catamaran for safety reasons. Generally, it's designed to accommodate around 40 passengers comfortably. If you're concerned, just give them a call ahead of time to check if your group size will affect the sailing!
A: I'd recommend wearing light, breathable clothing since it can get warm out on the water. Don't forget a hat and sunscreen! If you're sensitive to cooler breezes, maybe bring a light jacket, especially for the late afternoon sail. Flip-flops or sandals are great too, just be careful as the deck can be slippery!
A: Yes, there’s a pretty good chance you’ll see dolphins! The crew is really good about pointing them out if they spot them. I went on a sail last month and we saw a whole pod! It's such an amazing experience, especially with the backdrop of the Charleston skyline.

Just booked the Afternoon Sail! Any tips?
I finally decided to book the Afternoon Charleston Historic Harbor Sail for my girlfriend's birthday. We love being on the water, and the catamaran looks awesome! I’m a little worried about seating since I heard it can get crowded. Has anyone been recently? Any must-see landmarks I should look out for?
Amazing Experience on the Palmetto Breeze!
Just got back from the Afternoon Charleston Historic Harbor Sail yesterday, and wow, it was beautiful! The crew was super friendly and we had perfect weather. We even spotted a dolphin! The views of Fort Sumter and the skyline were just magical. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a chill afternoon. Bring snacks if you can, the sail can feel long without them!
