Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for the Afternoon Sail experience?

A: There’s no strict age limit, but it’s good for teens and up since the boat can rock a bit. Just make sure younger kids are comfortable on a boat and can follow safety instructions. The small group size makes it more intimate, so it's a perfect family outing if everyone's on board with sailing!

Q: What should I wear for the Afternoon Sail, considering the weather?

A: I’d recommend light layers! The sun can be pretty intense out there, but it can also get windy. A hat and sunglasses are musts. Also, don’t forget comfy shoes since you’ll be moving around a bit on the boat. If it’s cooler, a light jacket is a good idea for when the sun sets.

Q: Can I reschedule if the weather is bad?

A: Yes, you can reschedule! Shamrock Sailing Adventures is pretty flexible with weather-related cancellations. Just make sure to call ahead or check their website for rescheduling options. They’ll work with you to find a new date that fits your schedule.

Just went on the Afternoon Sail – such an awesome experience!

I just got back from the Afternoon Sail at Wrightsville Beach, and wow, it was amazing! The yacht was beautiful, and the captain really knew his stuff. We saw dolphins swimming alongside us! The best part was bringing our own wine and just relaxing while cruising through those gorgeous waters. Seriously recommend it as a gift for anyone who loves the ocean. It’s a small group, so it felt super special!

Thinking of gifting the Afternoon Sail – any recommendations?

Hey everyone! I’m thinking of surprising my partner with the Afternoon Sail experience for our anniversary. Have any of you done it? What should I know? Do they really provide everything you need, or should I bring extra snacks or drinks? Any tips would be super helpful!
